In the Parliament of North Macedonia, the debate continued regarding the new composition of the government. The cabinet of Mr. Hristijan Mickovki will have 24 members, of which only three are women, and this has met with criticism not only in the parliament, but also in civil society circles. For the approval of the government, 61 votes out of 120 are needed in the parliament, and the parliamentary majority has the necessary votes.

The second day of the debate in the parliament regarding the program of the next government and the names of the candidates for ministers continued with clashes between the lawmakers of the VMRO-DPMNE, which will lead the government, and the Social Democratic League, which promises to be a constructive opposition.

The deputies of the Albanian opposition coalitions, the European Front and Vlen, exchanged mutual accusations, mainly about who has the legitimacy to represent the Albanians in the executive power.

The name of the state is among the issues that have taken place in the debate, as exponents of the Social Democratic League accuse VMRO of winning the elections with lies and fraud, promising to return the name Republic of Macedonia as soon as it takes power.

On the floor of the parliament, almost all Macedonian MPs, especially those of VMRO, use the reference 'Macedonia' without the constitutional definition that comes from the Prespa Agreement, an issue that causes dissatisfaction in the government in Athens, which warns that it will take measures.

Although the future Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Hristijan Mickovski, has hinted that he will take the oath using the new constitutional name North Macedonia, he persistently avoids using this name during his speeches.

Mr. Mickovski has promised that from Tuesday he will start bringing an investment of over 400 million euros to the country. However, experts estimate that if this happens, the government would sink into debt and therefore worsen the difficult economic situation in the country.

Another debatable issue in parliament is the proposal by the new government's commissioner, Mickovski, to appoint Ivan Stolkovi?, a pro-Russian minority Serb politician suspected by some of the press of connections, as minister of relations between ethnic communities. with the Serbian and Russian secret services.

Mandate Mickovski stated a few days ago that he trusted Mr. Stoilkovic and that he had pro-Macedonian attitudes. Meanwhile, the American ambassador in Skopje, Angela Aggeler, stated in a television interview that the work of this politician would be followed carefully.

Mr. Mickovsksi's government will have 24 members, including three women. VMRO will lead 15 ministries; the coalition Vlen 6 and the party Znam 2 ministers.

Parliament, according to the laws, must vote by tonight at midnight for the new government. The parliamentary majority has 78 votes; 61 are needed for the approval of the government cabinet./ VOA
