"The time has come to roll up our sleeves, put an end to crime and work for the good of the citizens", declared on Saturday the representative for the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Hristijan Mickoski, in the session of the Assembly for the election of the government of cloud.

Hristijan Mickoski is the chairman of VMRO DPMNE, which won the regular parliamentary elections held on May 8.

The new government will have 24 ministers, 4 more than the previous composition, while part of it, apart from VMRO DPMNE, will be the VLEN coalition, made up of four Albanian parties and the ZNAM party, made up of former member of the Social Democratic League (LSDM).

These parties have a parliamentary majority of 78 deputies out of 120, which is the total number of the Assembly.

For the election of the new government, 61 MPs must vote, while according to the rules of the Assembly, the debate cannot last more than two days.

The rule of law, the fight against organized crime and corruption, economic development and European integration of the country will be the main priorities of the government's work, according to Mickoski./ CNA
