The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana announces that it has launched investigations against the doctor Roland Xhaxho and the staff of the clinic he runs for 'negligence in medical treatment'.

This investigation has started for the death of a 3-year-old boy, who died after a dental intervention at the "Splendent" clinic.

We remind you that the incident happened a few days ago and the case was denounced by the family members of the 3-year-old who demanded justice.

According to them, a high dose of anesthesia was given to the child and the 3-year-old was released from the hospital in a very serious condition.

On the other hand, doctor Roland Xhaxho says that the child's condition has worsened at home after he left the hospital in good condition.

Taking into account the great sensitivity of public opinion for the event where the minor with the initials BS, lost his life after treatment in a private clinic, as well as the increased interest of the media in relation to this issue, the Tirana Prosecutor's Office wishes to inform that:

The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana, on the basis of the material referred by the Police Station No. 4 to the letter No. 7057/k Prot dated 04.10.2023, has registered on 05.10.2023 criminal proceedings no. .6477 of 2023, for the criminal offense "Negligence in medical treatment", provided by article 96 of the Criminal Code. On the part of the prosecution, the performance of other procedural actions in relation to the criminal proceedings continues, with the aim of evidencing all the circumstances and causes of the citizen's death. /CNA
