American General meets with Nufi and AF leaders/ US Embassy clarifies

The US Embassy in Tirana has shared on social media details of a meeting between Brigadier General Chris McKinney of the US European Command and the Minister of Defense, Ermal Nufin. McKinney also met with Lieutenant General Arben Kingjin and senior leaders of the Armed Forces.

According to the US embassy, ??discussions focused on regional security, defense spending, the importance of military mobility through Pan-European Corridor VIII. Albania's progress in cyber defense capabilities was also discussed.

“Brigadier General Chris McKinney from the US European Command met this week in Tirana with Minister of Defense Ermal Nufi, Chief of Defense Lieutenant General Arben Kingji, and senior leaders of the Albanian Armed Forces.

"Discussions focused on regional security, defense spending, the importance of military mobility through the Pan-European Corridor VIII, and Albania's impressive progress in cyber defense capabilities ," the embassy's post said. /CNA
