Dashamir Shehi celebrates his birthday/ How old is the head of LZHK

The head of LZHK Dashamir Shehi celebrates his birthday today. Sehi turns 67 years old. He was born in Tirana on October 28, 1957.

Who is Dashamir Shehi?

Shehi is a politician and former minister of the Albanian state.

In 1976-1980 he attended the Faculty of Agrarian Economics at ILB in Kamez.

In 1982-1984 he worked as an economist in Mirdita. In 1987-1990, economist at the forestry enterprise in Tirana.

In 1991, he was appointed secretary of the Democratic Party in Tirana. In 1992-1997 he served as a deputy and in 1993-1996 as a member of the Presidency of the Democratic Party.

In 1992-1994, he held the portfolio of the Ministry of Labour, Social Support and former Political Persecuted. In 1994-1996 he was Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction and Tourism.

In 1997, he left the Democratic Party, after the memorandum, where he proposed his resignation to the government, at the height of the crisis of 1997. He left the DP and was not a member of Parliament for four years. During this time, he was involved in the "United Right" political formation, where several right-wing parties were members, including the PR. After this party did not have a long life, in 2001 it became part of the New Democratic Party.

On July 17, 2002, he became the chairman of the Renewed Democratic Party, which later in 2004 changed its name to Movement for National Development (LZHK), as it is known to this day./ CNA
