Father Mondi: Farewell my brother, His Beatitude, Anastas Janullatos

The World Bektashi Grand Patriarch, His Holiness, Haxhi Dede Baba, Edmond Brahimaj, through a message, expresses his most sincere condolences on the passing of the Archbishop of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania, His Beatitude, Anastasios Janullatos.

In his message, among other things, the World Grandfather, Dede Edmond Brahimaj writes:

“Bismillah Rramani Rrahim! In the name of God, the Merciful, the Merciful!

With deep sorrow, I received the bitter news of the passing from this temporary life of our brother, His Beatitude, Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and All Albania, Anastasios Janullatos.

His Beatitude, Archbishop Anastasios, in conditions of great difficulties, for more than 30 years, reestablished the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania and contributed to religious harmony and coexistence in Albania.

On behalf of the Holy See of the World Bektashi Patriarchate, allow me to express my highest consideration for his lifelong activity and for the close collaboration with him, for religious coexistence in Albania and beyond.

I assure you that His memory will always be a source of goodness for millions of Orthodox believers scattered throughout the world.

Our deepest condolences for this great and irreplaceable loss to the senior leaders of the Church and the entire Orthodox community of Albania!

May he rest in well-deserved peace!
