Saddened by the loss of Janullato/ Peleshi recalls some of his wise words

The head of the Socialist Party parliamentary group, Niko Peleshi, has reacted to the passing of Archbishop Anastasios Janullatos.

Peleshi writes that this is a moment of sadness for Orthodox believers.

The former minister states that Archbishop Anastasios has the merit of raising from the ashes all the institutions of the Orthodox clergy, churches and temples, and institutions of theological education.

Peleshi also recalls some of the words of Archbishop Anastasios: "Do not be upset or discouraged by the stones that are thrown at you. Collect those stones and build."

"The passing of Archbishop Anastasios is a moment of sadness for the Orthodox faithful who today lost their chief shepherd. Archbishop Anastasios has the merit of raising from the ashes all the institutions of the Orthodox clergy, churches and temples and institutions of theological education where Albanian Orthodox receive sacred teachings in our language."

Dozens of Albanian clergy are today the constellation of the Albanian Autocephalous Orthodox Church, thanks to the vision of His Beatitude Archbishop Anastasios.

To the dismay of some, he did not take any of these with him, but left them to Albania as a contribution of a missionary who dedicated his entire life to faith.

I am reminded of some of His words from long ago: do not be discouraged or discouraged by the stones that are thrown at you. Gather those stones and build.
