Lulzim Basha’s hypocrisy with the democrats/ How he “killed” the Democratic Party

After the next defeat on April 25, 2021, the chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, continues to try to justify his failure, saying that ?April 25 was an electoral massacre?, that the elections were bought, sold, and others like these.

And instead of bearing his responsibility for the next loss, Basha announced an election date for the DP leader, and all the details show, that he himself is preparing a ?electoral massacre inside his house?.

If we analyze the way is going the campaign for the DP leader, the date of the elections, and many other details, it is clear that everything is just a farce, which Lulzim Basha is using to hold the chair of the chairman, and to continue with his ?dream? that one day he will become Prime Minister.

Since May 19, Lulzim Basha continues meetings in the local branches of the Democratic Party, where he tries to deceive the democrats, talking about imaginary battles, about the fall of democracy by 25 April etc. In fact, what Lulzim Basha declares is nothing but hypocrisy with democrats.

Lulzim Basha says that on April 25, the democracy fell. But what has he done inside the DP in the last 8 years? He lost two pairs of parliamentary elections, and continues to be at the helm of the DP, justifying himself by always stealing his votes, or by conducting electoral farces.

First we remember the elections of 2017, when Lulzim Basha competed in a formal race against Eduart Selami. A clear scenario to continue to hold the post of DP leader. While in the last elections, which are expected to be held on June 13, Basha is running a race

in totally unequal conditions, in front of three other candidates.

He is running using the entire DP administration in his service, which was not offered to other candidates. And another detail that stands out, and that can be seen and heard by everyone, is the fact that on the official website of the DP on social networks are broadcast daily videos of Lulzim Basha?s meetings in local branches, while there is nothing for other candidates.

Moreover, Lulzim Basha hides the membership lists, refusing to make them available to other candidates. So this is the democracy that Lulzim Basha offers. He is trying to hide behind the DP logo, while saying that ?we are the political family heirs of the December Movement, the political family that overthrew communism and brought democracy?.

In fact, what Lulzim Basha says is another mockery of the democrats. First Basha came to the DP, without previous contributions, and only benefited from this party, becoming a minister, mayor of Tirana, and then chairman of this political force.

But despite the many benefits as chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha has ?killed? the logo of the party that brought political pluralism to Albania. CNA.al has often reported on Lulzim Basha?s project to transform the Democratic Party into a New Republic. This project exists and is unstoppable.

Basha hates the Democratic Party logo. He hates the symbols of the party that overthrew communism. He hates everything the DP has done in 30 years. For him, the story begins the day he became party chairman, supported by Sali Berisha.

But Basha has not only ?killed? the PD logo, but he has also ?executed? the DP senators, those who fought for democracy. Isn?t this Lulzim Basha in 2017, that after an agreement reached at night and after 3 hours of meeting with Edi Rama, ?killed? the elite of the Democratic Party?

He expelled them from the party only because he was afraid of losing his post. So Basha says other things and does other things. He talks about democracy, at a time when he is the same person who has destroyed democracy within the Democratic Party./CNA.al
