There are three names that are being discussed in the opposition camp who can claim the head of the Municipality of Himara, after the elections that are expected to be held at the beginning of August. Sources for CAN inform that Afrovita Dhimojani, chairperson of the DP in Himare, is one of the possible candidates for the post of chairperson. Another name that is being talked about is the vice president of OMONIA, Nestor Varfi.

The son of Fredi Beleri has been added to the list of possible candidates for the head of the Himara Municipality. The name of Petro Beleri was mentioned days ago, as one of the main contenders. The 27-year-old expressed his will for his candidacy, with the same political subject. On the part of the majority, the name that is being talked about the most is the prefect of the District of Vlora, Vangjel Tavo.

The name of the latter has been commented on earlier, seeing this as an opportunity to reduce tensions in Himare. The elections in Himare will be repeated on August 4, 2024, after the CEC removed the mandate of the elected president Fredi Beleri. The latter is serving a prison sentence for election corruption./CNA
