The head of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, reacted immediately after President Begaj decreed on August 4 to hold elections in the Municipality of Himara.

In your reaction, Bardhi states that the president decreed the elections without any consultation. According to him, the date of the elections in Himare was a theater between Prime Minister Edi Rama and the general turned soldier, meaning President Begaj.

"What a shame for the President of the Republic who openly violates the Constitution and the law by decreeing elections without an enforceable decision yet for the invalidity of the mandate of the elected mayor of Himara. Today's theater, coordinated between Edi Rama and a general turned soldier, is an assassination attempt on the rule of law, which shows the political annihilation of the institution of the President of the Republic. Today's decision of the CEC is not yet enforceable without the expiry of the appeal period.
