Spiropal defends Rama, opposes Ahmetaj: Thieves should go where they belong

The Minister of State, Elisa Spiropali, defended Prime Minister Edi Rama in the Assembly, emphasizing that he has nothing to do with the incinerator affair and that he never interferes in matters of justice.

"Rama doesn't talk about justice, he doesn't use justice as a weapon. He doesn't use justice as a weapon, he lets them do their job and doesn't interfere. We don't do politics, but we believe in justice. Rama maintains the balance. We have this division, Gazi, I trust you because you can change them from those behind you. Rama has no argument that I can make him dirty in relation to justice. You attack the institutions of justice", said Spiropali.

The minister underlined that "thieves should go where they belong", implying that she does not protect Arben Ahmetaj, who is on the run.

Earlier, at the start of the plenary session, Gazment Bardhi asked for its interruption, as he said that Edi Rama should be present to account for the former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj. Bardhi added that Rama is negotiating with Ahmetaj to return him to Albania, but with conditions.
