Taulant Balla will assume the position of Minister of the Interior tomorrow

The next day, the head of the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party, Taulant Balla, is expected to take office as Minister of the Interior after the decree made by the President on Tuesday. 

The next plenary session is expected to take place tomorrow. 

The macabre violence in Kruja caused by the Rraja tribe brought "earthquakes" to the ranks of the blue uniforms and concluded with the resignation of Bledi Çuçi from the leadership of the Ministry of the Interior and the appointment of Taulant Balla by Prime Minister Edi Rama at the head of this department.

Taulant Balla is one of the most prominent figures and a factor politician in the Assembly.
Taulant Balla started his political career in 2004, where he served as an adviser to the prime minister of that time, Fatos Nano.

He was first elected deputy of Librazhd in 2005, at the age of 28, and since then he has not been absent from the Parliament of Albania. After the 2017 elections, Taulant Balla was appointed chairman of the socialist parliamentary group.

At the same time, he was appointed Chairman of the Delegation of the Parliament of Albania to the European Parliament and Vice-Chairman of the National Council of European Integration. After the resignation of Gramoz Ruçi, Balla was elected General Secretary of the Socialist Party, a post he held until after the 2021 elections, where he was replaced by Damian Gjiknuri.

Balla is the deputy of Elbasan District and political leader for the Socialist Party in Fier District. Earlier, he led the district of Elbasan, where he got the best electoral result in the elections of 2017 and 2021, both for the socialists, but also as a deputy he was the most voted nationally.
