Shabani, Ombudsman/ Berisha apologizes: I admit, the signatures were a mistake

The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, at the meeting with citizens today in Elbasan, also spoke about the election process of the People's Advocate.

Berisha described Endrit Shabani as Prime Minister Edi Rama's lawyer, although it was the members of the DP parliamentary group themselves who gave signatures to this candidate.

According to the leading democrat, it was a mistake to provide signatures during the period when there was support for the independent candidate for Tirana municipality.

"It was a mistake, I admit it and you are concerned. The mistake was with the signatures of Endri Shabani, Edi Rama's lawyer, and I apologize. Those signatures were given during the period when there was support for our Tirana candidate and those signatures were immediately withdrawn, each of the deputies removed those signatures immediately ," Berisha said. /CNA
