The Speaker of the Parliament, Niko Peleshi, announced that in the marathon session the day before, the 2026 budget was approved, the largest in the country's history.

Peleshi emphasizes that the law on the fiscal peace agreement was also approved, as well as a package of changes to the legislation on taxes, fees, concessions, public-private partnerships and other financial activities.

During this session, the Ombudsman was elected and two motion interpellations were held with debate on the OSCE-ODIHR report on the May 11 elections, and the Ombudsman was elected.
