Sanctions against Russia/ Danish Prime Minister: I would suggest we look towards the banking system

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, in a joint press conference with her counterpart Rama, also focused on the sanctions imposed on Russia.

Frederiksen said the US is doing what Ukraine is asking for at the negotiating table, regarding sanctions against Russia.

The Danish Prime Minister suggested that future sanctions, if Russia continues to oppose achieving peace, be focused on the banking system and oil.

" Regarding sanctions, the US has been very clear. It is doing what it wants and Ukraine is at the table. We have seen from President Trump that the US is ready to impose more sanctions. I hope that we are all ready to do more. I would suggest looking at the banking system, oil, " Frederiksen said./ CNA
