"Electoral reform according to European standards"/ Balla holds

The Chairman of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, held a meeting with the delegation of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe, in the framework of drafting the opinion on the draft law "On the financing of political parties".

Through a post on social networks, Balla underlines the majority's commitment to a comprehensive electoral reform process, emphasizing the importance of aligning Albanian legislation with best European practices and international democratic standards.

"We reaffirmed our commitment to a comprehensive electoral reform process, in line with best European practices," Balla wrote.

Balla has praised the role of the Venice Commission in consolidating democratic institutions in the country, describing this cooperation as a key element in Albania's European journey.

"Gratitude for the long-standing cooperation with the Venice Commission in strengthening the rule of law, especially during the drafting and implementation of justice reform and the consolidation of democratic institutions in Albania ," Balla wrote. /CNA
