EC President visits Western Balkans/Meeting with regional leaders, here's

The President of the European Council, António Costa, will travel to the Western Balkans next week.

The dates are June 1-5, and the main part of the agenda is related to numerous meetings with leaders of the region. Costa is also expected to co-chair the EU-Western Balkans Summit in Tivat, Montenegro on June 5.

Based on the data from this several-day visit to the Western Balkans, published by the EU, Costa will begin meetings in Sarajevo on Monday, June 1, when he will meet with members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Be?irovi?, ?eljka Cvijanovi?, ?eljko Komši? and the President of the Council of Ministers, Borjana Kristo.

On Tuesday, June 2, President Costa will be in Tirana, where he will meet with Prime Minister Edi Rama, President of the Republic Bajram Begaj, and students of the College of Europe Tirana Campus. He will then visit Skopje, to meet with Prime Minister Mickoski.

The next day, Wednesday, June 3, President Costa will travel to Pristina to meet with the acting President Albulena Haxhiu, the outgoing Prime Minister Albin Kurti, and the leaders of the opposition parties.

On Thursday, June 4, President Costa will meet in Belgrade with President Aleksandar Vu?i?, Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabi?, and civil society organizations. The tour will conclude in Montenegro, where President Jakov Milatovi? has invited the leaders to a dinner in Tivat to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the country's restoration of independence.

On 5 June, President Costa will co-chair the EU-Western Balkans Summit. The central theme of this summit is "Shared Prosperity and Stability of the EU and the Western Balkans" ./CNA
