Prime Minister Edi Rama announced that the government will move into the phase of in-depth dismantling of the General Inspectorate reform, also starting the construction of a new complex for this institution.
Rama stressed that inspection remains a problem in the state, with deficiencies in organization, in mindset and a gap between the service and citizens, and often those who should be served face mistreatment or abuse.
"We need an improved system and properly structured management to avoid the repetition of the same problems and to ensure a more effective service, especially on the eve of EU integration," said the prime minister.
The reform aims to make the inspectorate more functional, more transparent and more capable of protecting citizens, turning it into a unified and efficient body. / CNA
