"PS, criminal group"/ Këlliçi, government accusation

Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi has made strong accusations against the Socialist Party and Prime Minister Edi Rama, describing this political force as a "criminal group" that, according to him, uses state institutions to embezzle citizens' money.

Këlliçi stated that the government led by Edi Rama has severely damaged Albania's image in the international arena.

He said that the country has been compared to states that face significant problems with organized crime, adding that "Albania has been put on the map as a narco-state."

The MP emphasized that an American media outlet was the first to use the term "narcostate" for Albania in 2016, in the context of what he called the government's policy of cannabization of the country.

According to Këlliç, since 2016, the DP has continuously denounced with evidence what it considers to be the deterioration of the order and security situation in the country, accusing Prime Minister Rama of direct responsibility in this process.

"The problem is that this political force has turned into a criminal group, going to state offices to steal citizens' money.

He told Gonzato, "You're down, I'm up," and continued the stories with China, the relationship with Russian interests. He put Albania on the map where they are comparing us to Mexico.

The first media outlet in the world to write about the Albanian narcostate was an American media outlet and wrote in 2016 that Rama had a policy of cannabisizing Albania.
