Government ratifies agreement with EBRD for green development loan

This Thursday, June 19, 2025, the Albanian Government approved two draft laws at the Council of Ministers meeting.

Today, the ratification of the agreement with the EBRD for financing green development and the second loan for development policies was approved.

DECISION

ON THE PROPOSAL OF THE DRAFT LAW “ON THE RATIFICATION OF THE LOAN AGREEMENT, BETWEEN THE REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA AND THE INTERNATIONAL BANK FOR RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT, FOR THE FINANCING OF THE PROGRAM “RESILIENT CAPACITY AND GREEN DEVELOPMENT – SECOND LOAN FOR DEVELOPMENT POLICIES””

In accordance with Articles 81, point 1, and 100, of the Constitution, and Article 17, of Law No. 43/2016, “On International Agreements in the Republic of Albania”, as amended, upon the proposal of the Minister of Finance, the Council of Ministers

DECIDED:

The draft law proposal "On the ratification of the loan agreement between the Republic of Albania and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, for the financing of the program "Renewable capacity and green development - second loan for development policies"", for consideration and approval in the Assembly of the Republic of Albania, according to the text and report attached to this decision.

ON THE RATIFICATION OF THE LOAN AGREEMENT, BETWEEN THE REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA AND THE INTERNATIONAL BANK FOR RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT, FOR THE FINANCING OF THE PROGRAM “RESILIENT CAPACITY AND GREEN DEVELOPMENT – SECOND LOAN FOR DEVELOPMENT POLICIES”

In accordance with Articles 78, 83, point 1, and 121, point 1, letter “ç”, of the Constitution, upon the proposal of the Council of Ministers, the Assembly of the Republic of Albania

DECIDED:

Article 1

Ratification of the loan agreement between the Republic of Albania and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, for the financing of the program "Renewable Capacity and Green Development - Second Loan for Development Policies", according to the text attached to this law and forming an integral part thereof.

Article 2

This law enters into force 15 days after its publication in the "Official Gazette " ./CNA
