Balla, with the rapporteur for Albania in the EP, Schieder: We aim to close the

Minister of State, Taulant Balla, held a meeting in Strasbourg with the rapporteur for Albania in the European Parliament, Andreas Schieder.

Balla described Schieder as "a valued friend and supporter of Albania", while praising the annual report on Albania, which is expected to be adopted by the European Parliament's Foreign Policy Committee (AFET), before going to a vote in the plenary session on July 8-9.

Minister Balla also praised the statement of rapporteur Andreas Schieder that Albania can proudly be called the "main favorite" among the candidates to join the European Union.

"Our vision is clear: We aim to close accession negotiations by 2027 and ensure full membership in the EU within the new governing mandate, which Albanians entrusted to us with an unprecedented majority in the May 11 elections," Balla emphasized in Strasbourg, calling this an assessment that, according to him, confirms the country's tangible progress in democratic and institutional reforms.

In Strasbourg, a day ago, Balla participated in the meeting of the Stabilization and Association Parliamentary Committee (SAPC), where he conveyed the message that Albania is more prepared than ever to become part of the European family./ CNA
