Balla from Strasbourg: European Parliament office to open in Tirana

From the headquarters of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, the Minister of State for Relations with the Parliament, Taulant Balla, has shared an important video message in which he describes the opening of the EP office this year in Tirana as a clear signal that Albania's integration is close and certain.

"The European Parliament will also have its own headquarters in Tirana, which will serve our entire region. The selection of Tirana is not accidental, but reflects the strong support of the European Parliament for a rapid membership of our Albania in the EU, but also the commitment to strengthening democratic institutions, the rule of law and engagement with Albanian citizens," said Minister Balla.

Balla emphasized that the opening of the office will serve as a strategic node for deepening cooperation between Albanian and European institutions.

"The office in Tirana will serve as an essential bridge, fostering dialogue, facilitating cooperation with Albanian institutions and civil society, ensuring that the values ??and voices of citizens are fully reflected in the ongoing process of Albania's membership in the European Union," said Balla.

This signal encourages the Albanian government's clear vision for its path towards the EU:

"Our vision is clear: we aim to close accession negotiations by 2027 and secure full EU membership within the historic mandate that Albanians entrusted to us on May 11, with a vote like never before," Balla said.

At the end of his message, Minister Balla expressed his commitment to European values ??as the foundation of the country's development:

"The European Union is not simply our destination, it is the reference point of governance, prosperity and solidarity to which our common Albania aspires. I greet you all from Strasbourg," Balla said./CNA
