"The people are awake"/ Meta, reaction from prison to the opposition

The leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has reacted from prison regarding the opposition protest that was held today in front of the Prime Minister's Office and the Parliament.

In his reaction on social media, Meta wrote that citizens have decided to defend democracy and the future of the country more firmly. Among other things, Meta accused the police of attacking protesters and journalists.

Gratitude and thanks to thousands of patriotic Albanians, who with courage and dignity gave strength to their revolt and shook the rotten Narco-regime today.

Their voice is the voice of hope, of freedom, and of an Albania that does not give in. The people are awake, determined, and ready to defend democracy, freedom, the rule of law, and the future of the country at any cost.
