Berisha: Edi Rama's cup has long been poured, the protest is a critical

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, said today that the national opposition protest being held this afternoon in front of the Prime Minister's Office comes as an obligation from the mismanagement of Prime Minister Edi Rama. 

In a conference with journalists from the blue headquarters, Berisha called on citizens to join in mass demonstrations on the boulevards and streets of the capital, describing it as one of the most critical moments for the country.

"A few hours separate us from the great hurricane of hope and victory for the opposition and the Albanian nation."

I came again to address my call as Albanian to Albanian, as citizen to citizen, to unite today on the boulevards and streets of Tirana at one of the most critical moments in our history.

The possibility of the complete dissolution of our 32-year journey towards the EU.

Therefore, today more than ever, we must be on that boulevard, on those streets, in those squares to convey our message that we will never agree with an organization of thieves, which has stolen fabulous amounts of budget, infinite public wealth from Albanians, has imposed mafia law and now wants to steal their European future at all costs.

"Our presence today is the most excellent message, it is the most dignified message that we convey to Albanians in Albania and all over the world, but that we also convey to our true friends in the EU, the USA and wherever they are," Berisha declared. /CNA
