The former Foreign Minister, Ditmir Bushati, spoke about the process of Albania's integration into the EU and the opening of chapters the day before.

According to Bushati, the EU and Albanian politics are to blame for the postponement of this process until today.

Invited to Erla Mëhilli's show, the former minister emphasizes that the fault is two-way. The EU has not clearly materialized the position regarding the will for Albania's membership in the union, while the policy has wasted a lot of time.

"The fault is mutual. There are moments when the European Union has not materialized in a clear political will the strategic approach that President Bush actually imposed on the Europeans, when he spoke of a free Europe in 1991. On the other hand, there is also a fault in Albanian politics, mainly due to the successive trains and stations that we lost, we put the blame on each other," said Bushati./ CNA
