"Albania does not meet any criteria to sit at the table of EU members".

This is what the chief democrat Sali Berisha expressed during a conversation with citizens on social networks.

"I welcome the opening of the chapter because the decision was made two years ago.

I would like to point out that there is a debate in the EU today, a debate related to the two main autocrats of the region, Rama and Vucic, that this region should not be a part of the EU's journey, but should be a partner. This is a great punishment that I do not agree with. The continuation of the process is to be welcomed as it narrows the current of those who believe that we should not be in the EU.

But to be honest, today Albania does not meet any criteria to sit at the negotiation table with the EU for the opening of the chapters", said Berisha.

Berisha chose to hold this conversation on the 80th anniversary of his birth. Berisha said that the Albanians have been and remain the most powerful motivation for him in these 8 decades of his life.
