The political leader for Tirana, Belind Kelliçi, has stated that there is an attempt by the Albanian government to blackmail the diaspora through the jobs of their relatives in Albania, in order to get their vote in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
During a television appearance, Kelliçi said that he informed the Americans about the capture of the justice system and its use as a 'weapon' against the political opponent.
Kelliçi emphasized that 90% of the Albanians he met during his visit to the USA have at least one family member in Albania who sends them money, as they cannot afford to live because of the government's mockery of pensioners.
"The greater part, 90% of those I have communicated with have family members in Albania. It is these individuals who support their families, send money every month because of the ridiculous government pensions and the taunts that Rama makes to pensioners. They are forced to keep their family members in Albania.
They are interested in what is done with corruption in Albania. I have met hundreds in Michigan who have heard about Veliaj's 5D affairs and they say why does SPAK not investigate.
Citizens are freer in America and other countries to tell the truth. By preparing the denunciations, the DP has brought the corrupt relatives to the prosecutors of SPAK, and has helped them to investigate the corrupt affairs.
The meeting with Trump is not only Belind Kelliç's meeting, it is not personal. I met him as an official representative of DP, the Republican sister party. Congressmen have information about Albania and the capture of the justice system, as well as its use as a weapon against the political opponent. A photocopy of this in miniature happens in Albania and they are quite clear to understand that the same thing happens in Albania. I prefer to keep communication confidential. As much as Rmaa wants to bombard the paid media in Albania, they are the largest world and American media that have written about the crime of the narco-state in Europe, Albania.
These are read not only by politicians abroad but also by law enforcement agencies. They know that in Albania there is a prime minister who travels by private charter, they know corruption and that Albania has become a transit for hard drugs. They know that the interior minister is involved in drug trafficking, as is Fatrmir Xhafaj and his brother.
Everyone in the diaspora says it, there is an attempt by the Albanian government to intimidate diaspora family members with jobs if they don't vote. They are a target group that cannot be ignored, they have put it in the game to play with the bread and butter of those who are employed in Albania.
The affairs must be made public and they must be told what is happening in Albania. We have a very big task in raising awareness," Këlliç emphasized.
Among other things, Kelliçi also announced that the next opposition protest will be held abroad, in one of the most important institutions in the EU.
"The next protest will be abroad, in one of the most important institutions in the EU. Where will the DP Parliamentary Group go to raise awareness of where democracy is in relation to legality in Albania. The imprisonment of Berisha and Saliani, the imprisonment of Beler , and for the attack on any oppositionist who denounces corruption in Albania. And then the action in the streets and squares, to continue with civil disobedience, on October 7, as a form of civil disobedience," Kelliçi said.
