The head of the Opportunity Party, Agron Shehaj, has opposed the proposal to create an opposition front.

Shehaj said on Erla Mëhilli's show that joining the opposition front is suicide.

He stated that such a merger would increase the chances of getting more MPs, but would lose personal support and undermine all the work each party leader has done.

"Kill ourselves? That it is suicide, it falls to us to discard all this work that each of us has done simply to increase the chances of getting as many MPs as possible. That's how it goes. This ongoing debate about new parties is better discussed together or separately.
