Prime Minister Edi Rama, at the end of the agenda in Luxembourg, targeted the opposition after the opening of the first chapters of EU membership.

When asked if the opposition will support the integration process, Rama said that there are not many expectations.

He stated that removing the hands of politics from justice has created pain in the opposition.

The head of the government emphasized that whoever will not accept the decisions of justice, is destined to fall on the wall with his head and in the end it is the head and not the wall that will back down.

"Now this is definitely an obstacle course. Obstacles in the first place are obstacles that we must overcome, because it is a whole mountain to climb to that peak that I repeat, where Albania must climb in 2030 in all aspects and this is not the question to take Albania to bring him here.

This is about building Europe there and turning Albania into a country that functions as a member of the EU with individual freedom, legal order, and functioning democracy.

Regarding the opposition, I have nothing to say. We can neither stop it, nor change it, nor slow it down, nor interfere with the irreversible process of dispensing justice through an independent justice system, and of course, removing the hands of politics from justice has created pain, created situations with which we are not used to and justice has struck left and right. More to the left than to the right if we take it in quantitative terms, but this is what we have asked for, this is what we have fought for and whoever will not accept the decisions of justice is destined to fall headfirst against the wall and in the end is the head and not the wall that will back it up", underlined Rama./ CNA
