Ilir Meta goes to Fier prison

The head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, today visited the democrat Ervin Salianji in Fier prison, who was sentenced to 1 year in prison for "false accusation".

Through a post on social networks, Ilir Meta writes that this meeting has convinced him that political violence only ignites the spirit of change.

During his visit to Fier prison, Meta was accompanied by the member of the Presidency of the Freedom Party, Genc Gjokutaj.

"Today, at my request, together with the member of the Presidency of the Freedom Party, lawyer Genc Gjokutaj, I met in the prison of Fier the tribune deputy of the Democratic Party and the opposition, Mr. Ervin Salianji, who is serving the political prison of Narkoshtet.

The meeting was an expression of solidarity against the current Narcoregime and Narcojustice. This meeting convinced me even more that political prison only ignites the spirit of Change and the overthrow of the ruling junta.

Proud of the heroes of free speech, who do not lose their freedom even in prison," writes Meta. 

We remind you that today the Special Court rejected Ervin Salianji's request for the suspension of the security measure "Arrest in prison".
