"The average salary goes to 112 thousand lek"/ Pirdeni: We are

The Minister of State for Public Administration, Adea Pirdeni, presented the budget for reforming the public administration salary system in Parliament. Pirdeni stated that the salary for administration specialists will increase by 5,000 lek, and for teachers by 3,000 lek.

The minister said that after the changes, the average salary in the administration will go to 112 thousand lek, which will also bring an increase in purchasing power.

 

" The indexation of public administration salaries and the increase in the minimum wage by 10 thousand lek will increase purchasing power. For public administration specialists, the lowest level of salary we have will increase by 5,000 lek, teachers will receive 3,000 lek per month more, and in healthcare, seniority will also increase for nurses."

For Police employees, seniority will increase by 5,000 new lek according to rank.

 On average, the budget is clear evidence of the rising trend in salaries and proves that through this new budget, Albania ranks first in public revenue management.

 In total, this salary reform has led to an increase of 112 thousand new lek in the average salary in the administration. The salaries of the administration at the local level will also be equalized with those at the central level.

"The next step is to maintain sustainability because it is designed to ensure the balance of the salary system. This salary architecture is developed in full synchrony with the process of Albania's integration into the European Union ," Pirdeni declared./ CNA
