Shehaj's Expulsion from Parliament/Kapri: Majority with Double Standard for the Opposition

MP Erald Kapri reacted this afternoon regarding the expulsion of MP Agron Shehaj from the Parliament.

In his speech in the Assembly, Kapri addressed opposition MPs and Parliament Speaker Niko Peleshi regarding this case.

According to him, Shehaj simply asked for respect for a Western standard that occurs everywhere in the world.

"This is the double standard of the Albanian Parliament. You only exclude opposition MPs. A little while ago, the Prime Minister used inappropriate language and you did not take any measures for this. But even to highlight it, what colleague Shehaj did was not at all unparliamentary. Look at what happens with parliaments in the West, to compare it with our parliament. And he was demanding respect for a Western standard. This is the essence and I call on opposition MPs not to allow this to happen again", said Kapri. /CNA
