The tensions in the Parliament of Albania have not stopped.
Even after the resumption of the plenary session, the opposition has insisted that the report for the former deputy prime minister Arben Ahmetaj be voted on in the Assembly, not allowing the head of the CEC, Ilirjan Celibashi, the opportunity to speak.
The opposition MPs stood, while Celibashi was in the pulpit surrounded by the Guard.
The Speaker of the Assembly, Lindita Nikolla, opposed the opposition and stated that she will not reject their request.
" We want to do this process without a hitch. Mr. Celibashi, we have nothing to do, we will continue the work. I will not put the request to the vote, I am repeating it. I do not vote a priori without having facts. Please sit down. There are regulatory instruments that verifies them. It's not just your word ," Nikola stressed, while interrupting the plenary session./ CNA.al
