An analysis with figures on the election results in Korça

Numbers are stubborn, 1+1=2.

From manipulations, 1+1 can equal, but that third number must be produced, so it must be somewhere as a fact or evidence hidden from the result of concrete actions.

ANALYSIS WITH FIGURES

In the Korça Region, the DP has a total vote result, according to official data so far, of around 40 thousand votes, exactly 39,776 votes, or 32.63%, which produces 4 mandates.

The SP has 68,116 votes, exactly 55.87%, which produces 6 mandates.

The DP's result with around 40,000 votes is almost unbelievable (electoral disaster), it is the lowest historical result, considering that Korça itself as a district has around 36,400 votes, after around 3,370 votes from immigrants were added.

The DP has about 9 thousand votes less than in 2017, when it had its worst historical result with 45 thousand votes.

And, in percentage terms, there are approximately fewer votes than in the dark year of 1997, where the DP was the "enemy".

There is no discussion of 2001 and 2005. As a percentage, the DP recorded its lowest historical result in 2025 alone, not counting the fact that it had the Freedom Party and the PBDRJ in coalition, which have specific weight in the Korça Region.

Socialists

The Socialist Party has a decrease in the Korça Region from voters within the country of around 57 thousand votes, a slight decrease from the around 60 thousand votes it had in 2021 or 2017.

The Socialists have maintained their trend of around 60-62 thousand votes in the Korça Region , but have also added 10 thousand votes from emigration.

While the PD-SP difference in 2021 was about 10 thousand votes , the Democrats had about 51 thousand votes and the Socialists about 60 thousand votes .

A large increase in the DP was expected, but in fact, from 2021 with about 51 thousand votes, the Democrats have gone up 36 thousand votes, a decrease of 15 thousand votes.

It's the emigration, the lack of organization, the lack of people coming out to vote, the incorrectly constructed list, the lack of a strong campaign by the Democrats, these are the facts that speak for themselves.

LET'S LOOK AT SMALL PARTIES

Maybe some parties have few votes in percentage, but if we look at Lulzim Basha's Euro-Atlantic Coalition, it has around 1036 votes as a district, with all the votes from the Diaspora, around 1100 votes.

The "Nisma Shqipëria Bëhet" coalition has around 4536 votes in the Korça district, together with the votes from the Diaspora, it amounts to around 5800 votes, that is around 1300 votes from the Diaspora with a percentage of around 5%.

Then Agron Shehaj's "Mundësia" Party receives votes from the opposition, around 2256 votes in the Korça Region and a total of 2622 votes including the votes of the Diaspora and PSD with around 2500 votes, which in total with the votes of the Diaspora go to around 2700 votes.

With simple arithmetic, if we add up the votes of the "Nisma Shqipëria Bëhet" Party, Lulzim Basha, there are 7,000 plus about 2,500 votes for Agron Shehaj, there are about 9,500 votes, if we divide it in half and the votes of the Social Democrats are 10-11 thousand votes.

And if we add these 11 thousand votes to the total of the DP, the latter together with the Diaspora amounts to about 50 thousand votes and it is still less than in 2021, if we take into account that in 2025 there are also the votes of immigrants.

Immigrants deepened the victory of the SP

The analysis is quite simple. The numbers speak for themselves. Someone claims manipulation in Greece, an increase in votes from Greece, but if we take the votes, without the Diaspora and without Greece, and stick to the result, the difference is 21 thousand votes.

The Socialists have simply maintained their votes approximately at those of 2021 with a very small percentage drop, as within the Korça District they have about 57 thousand votes out of the 60 thousand votes they had in 2021.

So, there is a decrease of about 3 thousand votes, approximately 5%.

Meanwhile, the DP, from 51 thousand votes in 2021, has 36 thousand votes within the Korça District in 2025, with a decrease of about 15 thousand votes, which corresponds to a decrease of about 15%.

Other small parties have many votes, "Mundësia", "Nisma Shqipëria Bëhet", the Social Democrats, there is a certain percentage of votes, around 1 thousand or so votes and Lulzim Basha, but again if you add these together they do not go to the total votes that the DP has lost from 2021, but it goes somewhere to the result of 2017.

The DP's best result was going into opposition in 2013 and the second best result was in 2021. In 2017, which was called an electoral disaster, the DP had 45,000 votes, which is almost 20-25% higher than the result in 2025.

The results in previous years, in 2013 when the DP came into opposition, in the Korça Region it received around 59 thousand votes. This figure shows a continuous regression. On the day when the DP is said to have reached the end after 8 years in power, it had 20 thousand votes more than in 2025.

So, the end of the DP's decline in Korça was not 2013, but continued for 12 years, both with Basha and Berisha. The political actors in Korça were almost the same.
