11 candidates request video footage from the counting/ Celibashi: If the party doesn't give it to them, the CEC will provide it

State Election Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi spoke today regarding the video footage requested by 11 candidates running in the May 11 elections, who claim to have stolen votes within their party. In a press conference from the Olympic Park, Celibashi said that if the party they ran with does not provide it, then the CEC will make these materials available to them.

Celibashi preferred not to comment on the possibility of recounting them, as he said, it is a competence that belongs to another body.

"It is undeniable that if it wants, a party or coalition can withdraw the footage. If the candidates do not provide it from the party, we will provide it to them. The recount should not be made a subject of discussion because it is the competence of another body. I do not want to interfere. The recount does not belong to the CEC. I do not want to give an answer. Please understand me," said Celibashi./CNA
