The State Election Commissioner, Ilirjan Celibashi, spoke this Sunday evening regarding the discrepancy in the figures for the diaspora vote, based on the data on the official CEC website. In a direct link to the media, Celibashi stated that this whole situation has aroused reactions, it has to do with those envelopes that are automatically administered in the CEC electronic system.

Celibashi said that there are quite a few submissions from Albanian voters to the CEC that were not made properly.

Celibashi added that there have been cases of voters who have sent their ballots in envelope A and not in envelope B, but it has arrived at the CEC as a vote.

"The numbers there are real figures, but they reflect data that are not in contradiction with each other. The number of ballots evaluated, with the figure that results as the lowest on the CEC website, the latter has to do with those envelopes that are automatically administered in the CEC electronic system. But there are quite a few submissions by Albanian voters to the CEC that were not made properly. They sent the ballot inserted in envelope A and not in envelope B, but it arrived at the CEC as a vote", - said Celibash i./CNA
