"They think that people eat soap for cheese"/ Rama in the next episode

Prime Minister Edi Rama has responded as usual to a comment from a citizen on social media. This time the topic was the price of energy, which Rama states is among the lowest in Europe, taking countries like Greece, Germany, Italy or Hungary as a comparison.

"The commentator writes from Greece and laments the plight of the people we are mocking. And in fact we are reducing it not by a little, but by 10.5% per kilowatt. The price of energy is decreasing like nowhere else around us thanks to the massive investments made these years, the results achieved in the sector that you remember in what condition it was.

But, of course, and thanks to our approach regarding the commitment to making people part of the success of reforms, and again and again, the bad word flies without harm, even to the ridicule of the people who have mistaken soap for cheese.

I am convinced that the person commenting not only doesn't know how much more expensive electricity is where he lives, in Greece, but from the way he speaks, it seems that he is one of those who say "Albania is the most expensive country in Europe."

Take a look at the prices per hour in Greece and Europe for family consumers. Albania drops to 8.5 Lekë, Greece is almost 3-fold, 22 per hour, Italy 33 per hour, Germany 40 per hour and the lowest of all is Hungary which is still 20% higher than us.

Meanwhile, those who say that 700 kilowatts is little and complain to the Albanian people that we are making fun of them, I tell them that over 1 million family consumers fall into the category of up to 700 kilowatts/hour. While above this limit, there are less than 100 thousand consumers, who have larger homes, have higher incomes, and higher energy expenses and therefore will pay more than others.

"Our line does not move, whoever earns less, pays less, whoever earns more, will definitely pay more," said Rama.
