"You have lost the right to complain"/ Muçollari addresses

Member of the Presidency of the Democratic Party, Grigels Muçollari, recently reacted by commenting on Erion Braçe's statements after his departure as political leader of the SP in the Fier Region.

The socialist MP said that his party did not inform him of this move, while Muçollari says that Braçe has lost the right to complain because he remained silent when Albanians learned from foreign media what the prime minister was doing at their expense.

"Agreed, Mr. Braçe, but why have you been silent when Albanians learn everything from the media?"

From the outset, I want to say that I agree with MP Erion Braçe about the concern he raises in the public, that he has been moved from the area he has long represented, without asking him, without conducting an analysis. And, worse still, that he found out about this decision in the media.

Rules and meritocracy in a party are very important. With as much opportunity as I have had, I have fought for certain principles to be implemented in the DP, where I have been for more than two decades. Which are the assessment of contributions, the measurement of results, and the vote.

Nothing good happens to a political force or a country when these norms are violated. Even more so in the case of Mr. Brace, where beyond the contradictions and disagreements with him on a thousand things, I cannot deny the passion he shows for the socialists.

However, there are several moments that have passed through the eyes of this representative, that have been ignored by him, which makes him today lonely in the claim he raises, and not very credible in the eyes of the public.

His arbitrary move from Divjaka, no matter how serious, remains an internal problem of the SP and a local issue. Erion Braçe knows very well that people and even MPs here have learned from the media that a camp will be opened in Lezha for refugees attempting to reach Italy. They have learned from the media that this government, with the permission and infrastructure it controls, has allowed international traffic of hazardous waste. Albanians have learned from the media that the island of Sazan has been given.

And Albanians learned from the media that there is a project for the establishment of the Bektashi state. When we say media, not from an interview of the prime minister for our press. But from foreign media, distant from us.

In each case, (and there are many others like these), Erion Braçe has not complained, has not raised his voice, has not demanded an account of why citizens, including himself as a majority MP, have not been asked about these acts that directly affect them.

If he had played the role of a trusted deputy, sworn to the Constitution, and in these cases, today his concern would be the concern of others, and his most legitimate concern. If we put them on the line, which of these things that Albanians have learned from the media is less important than that; whether or not he will be a deputy for Divjaka?

"So, Mr. Braçe should not be surprised when he sees that few will show solidarity with him, few will lose sleep over this arbitrariness and oppression that comes from the war within the Socialist Party. He has lost the opportunity to have the sympathy of the people, when he has turned a blind eye to the times when Albanians have been treated by Rama as sub-citizens and deputies as sub-deputies as beings who have no right to know what decisions he makes as Prime Minister." /CNA
