The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has shared a call for immigrants and the diaspora. Berisha has asked immigrants to vote to save Albania.

In his message, Berisha said that the value of the euro has fallen, food and medicine prices have increased, a situation that he said has changed since 2013 when he handed over power.

Berisha accused Rama of having done a lot of harm to the country in these 12 years and that this situation in Albania is a result of drug money and crime.

"Dear friends, Albanians, Albanians abroad. In 2013 when I handed over power, this currency 1 euro was exchanged for 140 lekë. Today, after 11 years, this currency is exchanged for 98 lekë. Drug money and the massive laundering of criminal money in Albania have stretched the European currency to the ground. But it has also severely punished your remittances. Such precious aid, so vital for your family members. In addition, during these 11 years, the prices of food and medicine in Albania have experienced stratospheric increases. According to Eurostat, they are 10-250% more expensive than in the main EU countries. And this, for your parents, is a real catastrophe. That is why your vote in these elections is of vital importance for the salvation of your parents, your family members, but also your country! So from the bottom of my heart I call on you, register on the CEC portal, on the PD portal.
