Gender Equality Law/ DP MP: We must stand up for family values

DP MP Gjin Gjoni spoke about the gender equality law at the protest held in front of the Prime Minister's Office.

The MP stressed that this law violates the natural gender binary of man and woman. He called on citizens to stand up to preserve family values ??that have been the foundation of our existence as a nation.

"Our most precious values ??and traditions are at risk. We must stand up, stand for the family values ??that have been and are the foundation of our existence as a nation. The law on 'gender equality' that was approved by the majority was written to strike at the natural gender binary of man and woman. The famous novelist George Orwell said: Political language is made to make lies sound like truth and murders seem disrespectful. Nothing fits this description more than the way this law on gender equality was promoted. Therefore, collecting signatures for the referendum should be the first move that every Albanian should make to annul the approved law.

Albanians need to be told the truth, but as Vaslav Havel said, the truth becomes dangerous when it is removed from reality. And the truth is that we have turned into a narco-dictatorship, into a countervalue of democracy. All these evils and violations, these scandals and corrupt affairs, like that of Balluk and Rama, they seek to cover them up, to hide them with propaganda and by not allowing the opposition to do its job. But we will not allow them.

"That's why we are here in this first communication with the people after the elections somewhat late and for this we must ask for a strong public apology from all democrats, but also from the diaspora, to make transparency, to resist and to stop this regime. The dismantling of this tyranny, where the party and the state have become one, based on organized crime, on money laundering, on corruption, based on the annihilation of the vote and the spaces of the opposition, requires our sacrifice, of us deputies in the first place, but it requires the unity of every Albanian", said Gjoni./ CNA
