Kapri "counts" to Proda: Problems in the management of the State

MP Erald Kapri has today criticized a number of problems in the management of the State Police.

In his speech to the Committee on Internal Affairs and Defense, Kapri stated that under the leadership of Ilir Proda, the institution is not cleansing itself of criminal elements within its ranks.

Kapri added that there are no revelations of criminal events or sensational executions, while calling for increased public reactions.

"There is broad agreement that the police should receive significant financial support and it is very necessary. I myself have supported the idea that police salaries should be increased by at least 30%, to exceed the average of public employees. But the problem is that when you look at the feedback on the work, many things need an explanation. There have been cases when your inspectors are not just employees, but also members of structured criminal groups. When it comes out in the file, we all find out. What are you doing to cleanse yourself of these elements? Because I also see that we do not have the solution of major criminal events, sensational executions, arrests of heads of international organizations who are wanted. This goes beyond the limits of a normal discussion. Because there are not even reactions to strong public issues," said Kapr i./CNA
