"Oncology will be restructured"/ Sala: For the first time,

The Minister of Health, Evis Sala, was present today at the hearing in the Committee on Economy.

In her speech, Sala focused on the issue of drug reimbursement, for which she said that the use of electronic prescriptions has begun. This prescription, the minister said, improves drug planning, which becomes more realistic.

Further, the minister said that for the year 2026, reimbursement of all tumor drugs will be operational for the first time and any shortages will be identified.

Regarding the development of chemotherapy, Sala stated that chemotherapy should be brought to the patient and announced that training will begin so that chemotherapy sessions can also be carried out in regional hospitals.

 

" We have started using electronic prescriptions. This is important because it improves planning for medications. It becomes more realistic."

We have started preparing treatment protocols.

For the first time, reimbursement of all cancer drugs will be implemented by 2026. Any shortages will be identified before we reach a shortage situation.

We need to start bringing chemotherapy to the patient, not the patient coming to chemotherapy. We will start training to be done in regional hospitals. Oncology will be restructured and connected to the national tumor network.

For drug prices, we have increased the fund's reimbursement. For prices, they are negotiated, but for new drugs, we will make new agreements, increase the number of patients who benefit and reduce prices.
