The President of the Tirana Hunters' Association, Armand Burri, said today that the new draft law "On Hunting" aims to address all problems related to the increase in fauna.

In an interview with CNA, Burri stated that the new treatment, unlike the old law, is related to several species of animals and birds widespread in Albania, which at some point have been endangered.

"We are addressing all the problems and increasing the fauna, because in Albania there was a problem regarding the way the old law treated most animals and birds in Albania, they were also prohibited.

We are talking about the bear, the wolf, the wild boar, the jackal. But since the law is old and at that time those species were endangered, and with the adoption of the new law, the entire situation regarding these animals that have been added to the hunting calendar is being addressed.

And by being included in the hunting calendar, special groups will automatically be created in relation to and dealing with these cases and where there is talk of an increase in nature, immediate measures will be taken by associations, but at the same time by competent bodies. And from now on, the competent bodies will be the municipality, which will also receive a confirmation from the ministry, which we are waiting for. With the approval of the law, there will also be all these by-laws that will be applicable, "said Burri./CNA
