Chairman of the Tirana Hunters Association to CNA: The draft law on hunting will

Chairman of the Tirana Hunters' Association, Armand Burri, declared today that the approval of the draft law "On Hunting" is an issue that will be closed within 10 days.

In an interview with CNA, Burri said that the association has provided the necessary suggestions for this area.  

The man added that in the draft law, powers are expected to be transferred to the municipality to manage hunting, while associations have also requested a reform.

"The draft law is in the final stages. Since before, on November 11, there were also the last two committees that will approve the draft law. We have given our suggestions for all the details of the law and for some minor changes regarding the articles of the law. We have made suggestions and we hope that within a 10-day stage it will pass through the Parliament and will take the final form of the law and we will continue the hunting activity in Albania. The Ministry has drafted a law in which all the competencies have been transferred to the municipalities. The municipality has received a new competence regarding the exercise of hunting activity. But we have requested that regardless of how with the old law the ministry dealt with the management of hunting, but also the associations and federations have had a key role regarding hunting. In this aspect, in this entire law, we have requested respectively article 23 of the draft law, article 47 and 48, where we requested a "a deeper reform of the associations and the National Hunting Federation. Now, we have requested legal changes regarding articles 23, 47 and 48, when we give more competence to the associations, which will manage and directly engage hunters", said Burri. /CNA
