The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, held a meeting with Martin Wickers, MP of the Conservative Party in Great Britain.

Berisha announced that at the meeting they discussed developments in Albania, and what he describes as the inextricable links between the highest levels of power and drug cartels and criminal organizations.

Dear friends, yesterday afternoon I hosted Mr. Martin Wickers, Conservative Party MP in the Parliament of Great Britain, friend of the Democratic Party and chairman of the Great Britain - Albania friendship group.

In this meeting, we discussed at length the developments in Albania as the first and only narco-state in Europe, the inextricable links of the highest levels of power and Edi Rama himself with drug cartels and criminal organizations, the suppression of political pluralism by the organs of the narco-state, the pursuit and persecution through the political prosecution of the leaders of the country's main political forces, the denial of the constitutional rights of opposition members of Parliament.

In this meeting, I introduced the British MP to the devastating consequences of the drug cartels' narco-euros and narco-dollars on the Albanian economy, as well as their determining role in decision-making on the streets, in the government, in Parliament, in the courts, the police, and in every institution in the country.
