Prime Minister Edi Rama, in a meeting with residents of Unit 3 in Tirana, focused on the Constitutional Court's decision regarding Erion Veliaj and the management of the municipality.

Rama said that Tirana is a very difficult situation to manage.

Further, Rama reconfirmed once again that Ogerta Manastirliu will be the candidate for the Municipality of Tirana whenever the elections are held, once again rejecting the possibility that Erion Veliaj could re-run for Tirana, despite the judiciary's decisions.

" When the mayor was taken from office to be locked in a cell without trial, for the first time I raised my voice to say that this is disproportionate. Regardless of what we may say or think, justice is independent."

The Constitutional Court refused to open the way for elections in the Municipality of Tirana. Then they should return to office to normalize a situation that is becoming more difficult every day for the capital.
