Draft Budget 2026/ Rama: Salaries will increase for all employees, including in

Prime Minister Edi Rama was present at a meeting with residents of unit no. 2 in Tirana.

During his speech, where he spoke about the 2026 budget, the Prime Minister focused on increasing the minimum wage, which he said will also increase in the private sector.

Rama stated that no taxes will be affected by this increase.

The increase in the minimum wage will also become law for the private sector, the prime minister declared, continuing that small businesses do not have profit tax.

"We have finally decided what we have wanted to do for a long time, but it took us time. Increasing the relative support for pensioners who will actually occupy the main part in financing the state in this fourth mandate. The extra support for pensions will amount to 1.7 billion euros. In parallel with the increase, we will also have indexation for pensions. The minimum wage applies to the public and private sectors. It is defined in the law. Salaries will increase for all employees and in the private sector. All of this will be done without affecting any tax and without increasing any tax. We have made a commitment that Albania will be the only country where there is no profit tax for small businesses.

We will take a very significant action for entrepreneurship through fiscal peace. It will bring stability in the collection and growth of revenues that will serve the economy. And investments will increase. Project 2026 is a project that expresses in its entire architecture what I said, economic growth, sustainability ," said Rama.
