Prime Minister Edi Rama today described the suspension of the Tirana Municipality elections as unfair.
In an interview, Rama said that this decision is holding citizens hostage, who were unable to vote for a mayor.
The Prime Minister added that Tirana needed to elect a mayor, who, according to him, cannot be run by remote control.
"I think it's the most unfair thing that's been done to Tirana, that on the one hand the person they elected is being held hostage. What we think about what justice does is irrelevant. On the other hand, the city's needs are ever-increasing. It's not being run by remote control. These are all signs of a major anomaly," Rama said. /CNA
