Rama: Italy and Meloni "hand of fate" in the crucial integration

Prime Minister Edi Rama has stated that Albania has never been at the level it is today in the international arena. In an interview, Rama said that this transformation is reflected in the level of relations with Italy.

"I believe that we have never, never, never been at the level we are at today in the international arena and the level of relations with Italy reflects precisely this transformation of Albania's being internationally and on the other hand it also reflects a will for the sake of truth, special of the Italian Prime Minister to do more with Albania and for Albania. It was something that I felt since the first meeting and now it has taken much more shape and due to the fact that she herself has fully entered the costume of the President of the Council of Ministers of Italy" , said Rama. 

He further spoke about the opening of the chapters, adding that it would be an extraordinary coincidence that if Albania closes the negotiations within 2027, then Italy's first 6 months, and especially this prime minister, will be a hand of fate in the crucial integration process.

"It is an extraordinary positive coincidence, in the wake of the coincidences of recent years, which have practically accelerated the process exponentially, I would say, because while Montenegro has taken years and years to open the chapters, we have opened them in 12 months, I am now counting the ones that will be opened in a few days. All the chapters. So it is an extraordinary acceleration and it is an extraordinary coincidence for the fact that if we successfully manage to close the negotiations within 2027, then Italy, the first 6 months and especially this prime minister, will be a hand of fate in this process," he said. /CNA
