The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Marie Bjerre, was present at the 7th Albania-EU intergovernmental conference.
In her speech, the Danish minister said that Albania is continuing to move forward with reforms, especially in the justice sector and the fight against corruption.
Further, Bjerre encouraged Albania to continue towards integration at the same pace, saying that if it continues at the same pace, membership will be very close.
Bjerre stated that it is impressive that Albania has delivered such quick results.
" Albania continues to move forward, especially in the reform of the judiciary and in the fight against organized crime and corruption. I encourage Albania to maintain this momentum of progress. If Albania continues in this direction at the same pace, I am convinced that membership will be achieved in the very near future. It is truly impressive how quickly you can deliver results ," declared Bjerre.
